Pilato served as Director of Continuing Education and President-elect of the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association, and most recently as Director of Training and Clinical Supervisor at The Community Health Awareness Clinic (CHAC) in Mountain View, California. ![]() He is deeply dedicated to helping people live full, authentic, engaged lives, assisting them in revealing meaning, purpose, and direction through life’s navigations and challenges.ĭr. ![]() He utilizes mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioral, systems and psychodynamic interventions, exploring client personal agency and sources of often unseen strengths. Pilato cultivates a special interest working with members of the LGBTQI+ and marginalized communities. He has extensive experience engaging with people experiencing grief and loss, interpersonal stressors, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Through counseling, support, and other interventions, individuals have the opportunity to learn how to lead sober and productive lives, improve relationships, and learn about themselves.Dr. New Outlooks: A drug and alcohol recovery program for teens who are working toward a clean and sober lifestyle, free from alcohol and drug use. Outlet was originally part of the YWCA and was transferred to CHAC when the YWCA closed. Outlet is a safe, accepting, and confidential place for LGBTQQ youth to express themselves, develop their strengths, and help improve their communities. Outlet Program: Provides support, HIV prevention education, leadership development, outreach and education for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth ages 13-18. ![]() The program creates opportunities for each of these parties to be involved in the justice process.įirst 5 Family Partners: A north county community partnership whereby CHAC provides Family Partners to engage and assist parents/caregivers of children prenatal through age 5 using a strength based approach which includes: identification of a family's strengths, unique concerns and priorities development of a Child Service Plan and support in accessing and coordinating needed services.
